Hey there! I'm moving right along in this mad dash to catch up on the blog. And I'm just gonna jump right in to November. We kicked off the month by taking down all the Halloween decorations and putting up the Christmas tree. Yup, I fast tracked the holidays last year, with good reason (more on that in the next blog post).
I took the kiddos with me to watch me vote. Regardless of your political views and beliefs, I think its super important for the younger generation to witness firsthand our American right to vote and be a part of history. I know when it was time for me to vote for the first time (many, many years ago) I had no idea what the actually process was. I was clueless to everything and had so many questions. I want Rory and Rian to feel comfortable with this process when it's their time. And Rory will be able to vote in only 2 more election cycles. That just blows my mind!
Let's just fast forward to Thanksgiving, because blogging about us hanging around the house in quarantine just isn't that interesting. But through it all, I'm incredibly thankful for these two and to sit at a table full of food with them during a time when so many had lost a loved one due to Covid or had to burden financial struggles because of quarantine, meant so much to me.
And... this guy turned 11!!! Sadly for him everything shut down a week before his birthday and when we asked what he wanted to do for his birthday, he said, "I just want In-n-Out". So that's what he got. But that just means that his 12th birthday will be a double celebration!
He also requested cheesecake. I had to get creative with the candles since eleven of them would not fit a top his slice of cheesecake. All you need are two candles to make 11... hahaha!
Happy Birthday Rory! I can't imagine navigating all the firsts of parenthood with anyone else. I love you 512 to Pluto and back mucho mucho!!!
I'm almost done closing out 2020. So stay tuned to see what December brought us. Let me tell you there's never a dull moment around here... even in quarantine.
Until next time...
