Happy Easter

Well Hello!

I know I'm a little behind on the blog, but I'm rapidly throwing posts up at record speed. Hahaha! And unlike the last few posts, I'm really excited to reminisce about Easter. Leading up to it, I had no idea it was gonna be so much fun. Twelve months into quarantine, I had gotten to the point where I had no expectation for any holiday, event, activity, etc. So when my friend, Tiffany invited me and the kids over to her parents's house for the holiday, I was excited to spend some quality time with one of my favorite families but I was ready for a super chill afternoon. We dyed eggs the day before and I thought I was being all sly keeping our Easter day plans a secret. I wanted to surprise the kiddos with our plans since they are close to Jimmy and Layla and I knew they had been missing them lately. Little did I know that Jimmy and Rory had actually been the masterminds behind the whole thing. And I'm so glad that they schemed and plotted! The kids spent the day swimming in the pool and while I hung with Tiff, Frank, her parents and some family friends. It was one of the most relaxing afternoons I've had in a long time and there's something about trading stories among everyone that makes the day fly by. I definitely needed the laughs that we had. Not to mention the yummy food and epic egg hunt between the four kids.

The epic egg hunt... I only took video as the kids were way to fast to switch back and forth between photos and video. So the photos were taken from the video, a little blurry but like I mentioned, the kids were realllllly fast. Hahaha!

The girls counting their eggs... And just a reminder for next time, count how many eggs you have before you hide them. We ended up looking for 3 eggs that didn't exists for like 20 minutes. We were a little bit of a hot mess express. But hey, to our defense, we were a little out of practice with everything being cancelled last year!

A huge thank you to Jim and Carol for having us over (and to Rory and Jimmy for scheming), Tiffany and Frank for extending the invitation and to your family friends for sharing so many stories. It really was a great time!

By the way, Tiffany has the cutest YouTube channel with great tips, tricks and hacks for cleaning, organization and home decor. You can check it out here: Tiffany's Place

I hope everyone's 2021 is started to see a turn for the better. And I'm glad you stopped by! Until next time...
