Hello!
To say that I'm super excited it's Friday it a complete understatement! We've had a busy week and you know what that means... A post loaded with photos. So if you've got time to kill, I've got you covered.
The other night Randy was playing with the kids and he and Rian were going into Rory's room and pretending to mess with Rory's stuff. Rory was getting so irritated at them and he decided that Randy deserved a ticket for his disruptive infraction. So I wrote a ticket and Rory decided on the punishment.
But what happened next, Rory was not expecting. The kids decided it was a good idea to jump on our bed, something they both know that aren't allowed to do. So more tickets were handed out.
Rory first shelled out all the money in his wallet, a whopping $26.00. But I suggested that 5 minutes of community service was probably a more appropriate sentence. He decided on vacuuming, shocking!!!
Rian wanted a princess map instead
Sometimes the punishment isn't quite as fun and results in needing a little extra love after.
And whenever Rian has to do a timeout on the stairs, she snuggles and cries into Randy's Dodger sweatshirt.
And when you get in trouble at a birthday party for not following instructions, you get to sit all by yourself in timeout while the other kids get to learn about gymnastics.
Sunday was packed with double birthday parties. The first one was at a gymnastics center.
That smile!
The beginning of a hilarious sequence of tumbles!!!
On to party #2, the kiddos's second piece of cake! It was definitely a sugar fueled day.
We finally delivered our boo baskets on Monday. Rory loved that his best friend, Landon and his little brother were our recipients this year. He was so excited to help me pick the items and create the baskets, or in this case, buckets. I totally got caught delivering them, but that's ok, that's part of the fun!!!
Rian had a dentist appointment the next day, and the waiting room was awesome. It had a total of six iPads on the walls for the kids to use. It was the best waiting room experience, coupled with one of the worst appointments ever. She refused to take X-rays, no big deal. She refused to sit in the chair, not such a big deal. She refused to open her mouth, kinda a big deal considering it was a dental appointment. Then she refused to be nice to the dentist and screamed at him multiple times, a really big deal.
The patients are given tokens for the toy vending machines in the lobby when they are done with their appointments. I'm not really sure how many the kids are given, but Rian received only one, one more than she should of. But to no surprise, she put her token in the machine that dispensed teeny tiny dogs. She has two already, one of which is the brown and white dog that my dad got for her a couple of months ago. After she got the black lab, she asked if she could get another one:
Rian: Can I have another dog?
Me: No, you only got one token from the dentist.
Rian: Aaaawwww!!!
Me: Maybe you shouldn't yell at him next time.
Rian: Where's Papa?!?
So Jackie O!
Rory made this in science class and he was so proud to come home and tell me all about it! He loves science.
Rian's pumpkin wreath she created at the park with our playgroup.
The kiddos's received a special package from a friend of ours that moved away last year. Each kid got a kit that had a monster/pumpkin mat, play-doh, pipe cleaners, googly eyes and beads. They had so much fun with them.
I joined a gym this week and enrolled the kids in the childcare. Rian goes with me most mornings and Rory will be joining us on the weekends. To prepare Rian for the idea that I was going to be dropping her off, I told her that she was going to go to school with her friends. The night before she set her backpack next to Rory's and he had a little talk with her about listening to her "teacher" and being nice to the other kids. It was very sweet. I thought she was going to cry when I dropped her off. Please, she ran off and that was the end of it. She LOVES it!
She sits and does homework with Rory. Someone is ready for preschool next year!
Under the table in her little cubbie...
...reading a Lego magazine.
The kids got their halloween costumes this week. And for the first time, I let Rian pick out her costume, instead of suggesting a coordinating one with Rory's. She tried on this eggs & bacon, an ice cream, a slice of pizza, a hot dog, a banana, a waffle and a princess Sofia before deciding on a winner.
Apparently trying on costumes was just too much for her. Girl, there's no napping at Target!!! That's what Starbucks is for!
She woke up briefly to ask for a veggie straw...
We took the kids to the pumpkin patch last night.
Riding the pumpkin bathtubs!
Rian didn't want to go on any rides, so we took pictures.
Rian was so excited that she is finally big enough to go on the bouncy slides.
(Rian is on the left and Rory is using the rope in the center)
I love that she looked back at me so proud!
And there she goes head first!
Rory wanted to go to the petting zoo, so Rian moved on to the obstacle bouncy.
And the night ended with a Star Wars light saber war. Doesn't yours?!? Haha!!!
I hope your weekend is filled with all that you love. Catch you guys next week.
xoxo
