We have been enjoying all the festivities that come with this time of year. And when I say we, I mean all of us! Last weekend my friend, Jenna and her husband threw an awesome murder mystery party. I had never been to one and was so excited to go. It was required that all guest wear a mask. You know I was down with that. Another accessory, yes please! And as a guest, I was given a character card with my name and fun facts. Hello my name is Kandi Apple.
The mask I created.
Waiting to go in (on my snapchat)
Here's a better picture of Tiffany and I. I loved all the different masks that everyone had on.
Voting for the murderer. I voted for the murderer after accusing a few innocent people (oops!), but I voted too late so I didn't win, but I stayed alive!!!
And while I was avoiding a murderer, Randy took the kiddos to the pumpkin patch.
Hanging out with me while my car was getting a recall fixed on Monday morning. What was I thinking making an appointment on Monday morning. ( By the way, you will see this red dress on repeat several times because she wears it every morning, straight out of the dryer.)
Trying not to cry because the pumpkin patch wasn't open yet.
So I had been promising Rory that we could do haunted gingerbread houses since last weekend. And Randy has been wanting to do a family competition ever since my Tia Jackie and Uncle Joe do a Christmas version with Ashley and Emily the last few years. But I thought haunted houses were more our thing and I didn't want to steal the Christmas competition. So the First Annual Harrington Haunted House Competition was born. (I used cardboard, hot glue and graham crackers to create the houses.) Rory requested that he's house be in the shape of the Ghostbuster Firehouse.
Rory's Candy Factory Monster
Randy's Day of the Dead Skeleton
Rian's Funny Face House
Amie's Tradition Haunted House
After a day of voting via text and my Instagram, the winner was Randy!
Yes Rian carries a cauldron around with her.
This week's Tuesday Treasure Hunt had to be moved to Wednesday because I had to take this handsome boy to open house at school. We got to meet his new (permanent) teacher, which we both like. He's going to do fine in first grade!
The next afternoon the kiddos had a special delivery, their Boo Baskets arrived. If you have been following HOH for a while, you know that we participate in You've Been Boo'd during the month of October. And this year, our boo'er left a basket of me with the sweetest note attached. I am blessed!
Enjoying all their goodies! Thanks Boo'er!
Later that evening I headed out with the kiddos on our hunt. This time we had to drive to the treasure.
Opening the map so he could tell me where to go...
X marked the spot of the driving range where Randy was waiting as part of the surprise!
I love how he prepares each time for his shot.
Watching the boys
She's getting pretty good at taking selfies with me.
Thanks for visiting HOH. I hope you have a wonderful weekend everyone.
Love you Tia Lilly mucho mucho!!!
xoxo
