Well this little princess turned three last month. She has become her own little person and knows exactly what she wants. She sets out on her own path to discover all the world has to offer her. She's spunky and wild with a sweet and loving side. She has the cutest little voice (that seems to only say NO lately), and gives the best kisses. She will wear anything if she thinks a princess wears it. She twirls around the house in her dresses and mimics the moves of the princesses on the Disney commercials. She loves her headbands, sometimes leaving the house with three on her head, yet won't let me put her hair up in a ponytail or in pigtails. She yells GO, MOVE and SHOO at the cars in front of us at a traffic light or the drive-thru. She's obsessed with dogs and walks around the house with an armful load of dog stuffed animals. She loves produce and we'll find her climbing the refrigerator to get an apple, tomato, banana or whatever is at reach standing on her tippy shoes. She's her daddy's Pretty Girl, my Chica, my Gidget, our Missy Girl!
This year I decided to take a chance with my "photography" skills and photograph Rian myself for her three year photos. I could't seem to commit to a date and before I knew it we were slipping further and further away from her birthday. And Rian has entered into the threenager stage, (a three year old with a teenager attitude is no joke!) and I really didn't want to impose the constant "NO!" on anyone, especially my sweet friend who has taken her photos in the past. So I scribbled a birthday cake on the chalkboard, grabbed a blanket and were set out for the park.
Her birthday party was really simple this year. Since we had taken the kids to Knott's Berry Farm a few weeks earlier as a part of her birthday celebration, we decided to have a Peanuts Movie themed party at the park. Her birthday falls right when the temps here in the desert reach triple digits and an evening party by the splash pad seemed to be perfect.
Our guests enjoyed pizza, pasta salad, watermelon salad, a veggie & cracker platter, and chips with dip.

Black and yellow goodie bags were filled with fruit snacks, bubbles, pencils with toppers, stickers and book markers.
The kids also took home Snoopy and Woodstock rings with their cupcakes.
A beautiful sunset sky for the beautiful birthday girl ;0)
Happy Birthday sweet girl!!!
Thank you to everyone who was able to make it to her party! We loved having each and every one of you!!! And a big thanks to everyone who sent Rian a gift. Her big day was filled with joy, happiness and long lasting memories. :0)
xoxo
