5 Weeks in 5 Minutes

Happy Friday Everyone!!!

Woo-Hoo it's Friday! I know it's been forever and a day since I blogged. I started this post weeks ago and I'm just now sitting down to finish it. 

Summer has official begun here in the desert, season-wise, but for Rory, he has been back at school finishing up the last few weeks of Kindergarten. Because he is at a 12 month school, he had his summer track break during May. So let's recap his five week break in five minutes shall we.

His break started right after Mother's Day so the Friday before he participated in the sweetest school performance and breakfast dedicated to all the moms. He was so proud of the gifts he made me and the songs he learned. 

All Rian cared about was the giant muffin she gladly devoured during the breakfast.

I pulled her away from her half-eaten muffin to take a photo before Rory had to go back to class. Not cool Mommy, not cool!

That weekend, in the pouring rain, we went to my friend's Cinco de Mayo block party

That Monday we headed out to Cali for a little family time and birthday fun. She knows how to travel in style!

Last day as a 34 year old! Seriously, once they fall asleep, I start taking selfies. Why? I don't really know why!

We originally were going to go to Disneyland, but since the kids love the Peanuts Movie right now, we decided that Knott's Berry Farm was a better idea. A separate post on our time at Knott's coming soon. There's way too many photos to include now and I want to go into more detail about the park.

The kids had a great time, despite the fact that they had to stop the ride so that Rian could get off. I guess she didn't like his flying style. ;0)

We visited with my Nana the next morning. Cutest thing ever listening to them talk about donuts.

Rory finished the spring season of soccer. He loves being goalie! It was a great season!!!

I headed back to Cali with the kids so that they could go to their cousin's birthday party at a bounce place. They were so excited to go. Except that Rory hyperextended his knee five minutes into the party...

...And I sprained my knee falling in a trampoline room. Yup this is how I spent the last day of his summer break.
