Well it's that time of year when the house starts to transform into various shades of green and red and the streets begin to glow with holiday cheer. And that can only mean one thing at the Harrington house, the arrival of Ralphie, our elf!!! This is the third year he has been a part of our family and we can't wait to see what he has in store for us for 2015.
{If you want to check out his past adventures, you can find them here, here, here and here for last year. And you can click here, here and here for 2013.}

After coming home from picking Rory up from school, Rory (because Rian had fallen asleep in the car on the way home), walked into the house to find Ralphie waiting in the living room with gifts for the kids.
For Rory, Ralphie gave him a Santa countdown calendar, a reindeer ornament kit and an Elf on the Shelf Play Pack.
While Rian finished her nap, Rory, Randy and I made the ornaments from Ralphie.
Then Rian finally woke up to find a package with her name on it!

I guess Ralphie was super comfy on the couch snuggled in his blanket, because we found him in the exact same spot we left him the night before. He must have needed some rest from his long travels from the North Pole the day before.
Dec 3
Haha Ralphie! Yes you're from Santa. Well at least from the North Pole that is.
Dec 4
Yes Ralphie, you are so Merry and Bright!
Dec 5
Reminding us that the holiday season is about believing.
Dec 6
Sitting so nicely and staying out of the way while we were taking our holiday photos at the house.
After our photos were done I noticed that he was joined by two ninja turtles. I'm not sure if he decided he needed some company or the kids did.
Dec 7
I guess watching us make cookies the day before had Ralphie thinking he should give them a try.
You gotta little something on your lip...
When Rory found Ralphie that morning he said that Ralphie must get hungry at night and that's why he was eating a cookie. He asked if we could pack a snack for Ralphie to take with him to the North Pole. "Let's pack a peanut butter sandwich and carrots. Does Ralphie need a drink?" After contemplating the idea that the drink may be too heavy for Ralphie and it might weigh him down and not allow him to fly, we decided that a drink was not a good idea. Later on in the evening Rory had to write a letter to Santa for his homework. When he was done he asked if Ralphie could take it to Santa for him with a picture of him and Ralphie. So I packed a little bag for Ralphie for his twilight flight.
Dec 8
Rory came downstairs to find that Ralphie had something for him.
We ended the first week of December with us taking our holiday photos of over the weekend. My friend Ashley is so sweet to take a break from our photos to listen to Rory go over the items on his Christmas wish list that he was preparing for our upcoming visit with Santa.
I think it's really sweet that kids both have the same toy on their lists, a ninja turtle that transforms into a city.
And after we were all done, Rian found Randy's Santa hat and thought it was so funny to put it on!
xoxo
