I don't know about you but I'm super happy it's Friday. Christmas vacation officially starts at 11:30 today!!! While I'm about to leave to go volunteer at Rory's holiday party, I thought I'd quickly share what's been going on with us.
Our neighborhood is turning into a collection of Clark Griswold homes and I desperately wanted to show you guys some of the houses, but it's been way too cold at night to go stroll around. This past week our lows have been in the 20s to low 30s. And well I'm not complaining at all, but I'd much rather enjoy the cold weather wrapped up inside watching Christmas movies. Hahaha!
We did manage to get our tree over the weekend and like last year we let Rory pick it out. He's our official Christmas-tree-picker-outer.

Rory left Ralphie another snack for when he returned home the night before.
I guess Ralphie really liked his snack. Good idea Rory!

Just in case Santa's in a pinch on Christmas Eve, Ralph's got it covered!

The night before it was crazy windy out and Rory was concerned that Ralphie would blow away when he left for his nightly voyage up north. At first he asked me if I could make Ralphie a jacket. "I can't make it in time for him to leave tonight. Sorry Rory." Before bed Rory asked Ralphie if he could stay with us that night and in return he would leave him some hot chocolate. So we found a cup small enough for Ralphie, set out a hot cocoa pod, mini marshmallows and chocolate chips with a note.
The next morning we found that Ralphie had enjoyed his hot chocolate. {I'm not really sure how he got hot chocolate on that part the counter, but I'm glad he enjoyed it!}

After getting our Christmas tree the night before, it really was no surprise that we found Ralphie hanging his ornament. I guess that's his spot since, if I remember correctly, he hung it there last year.

What do I have to do to get my picture framed?!? Zip-line from the Christmas tree, pretend to be a nutcracker, play cards with Capt'n Hook?
Dec 15
Careful with that dictionary, Ralphie. It was my grandparents' from the 1940's.
Do you agree with the definition of elf? By the way, nice glasses!

Staying warm in Rory's stocking during a freezing temp night and a really cold following day.
