Catching Up

Hey Guys!

October is flying by and blogging is starting to slip away from me. This month has not been easy, but I want to share with you guys all the fun things that we've been lucky to experience. Before I continue on, as all of you know October 1st ended with an awful and tragic event. I wrote about our experience dealing with such a challenging moment in time and what I want our children to learn from it here. I felt that I needed to address what is now referred to here as 1 October before I could move on to the lighter side of life.

This little girl has had me so worried lately. Maggie had not been feeling well off and on for a few weeks and so finally we decided to take her to the vet. She's always had a very sensitive stomach and I was hoping that her not feeling well was just an episode of that. And thankfully, it was. Our poor Maggie gets so nervous in the car.

And thanks to her sister, Pinky also got to go to the vet since they were both due for shots. Pinky loved Rory's booster chair. She actually sat in it as if it was hers.

I had planned a girls night at my house a few weeks ago to make these cute cork pumpkins with a group of friends. They came out so cute and a night with friends was exactly what I needed after a week of emotional exhaustion.

I love our little pumpkin patch!

And a little fall snail mail from a special friend always warms my heart. I love my girl Ash!

The tradition of Boo'ing continued. I love Rian's face!!! The kids always get tons of fun festive goodies from our Boo'ers. The kiddos enjoyed making crowns and masks, drinking milk from their Halloween milk jugs, decorating pumpkins and so much more! Thank you Boo'er!

This year we got two adorable girls that had never been Boo'ed before. It was so fun creating festive Boo Baskets for them.

We've added a few more books to our Halloween collection.

And we finally made it to the pumpkin patch.

And Rory FINALLY got to take a turn on the "jump ride". He has been wanting to go on this thing for years. And he loved every second of it.

Harrington vs Harrington... On your mark, get set, GO!

And the winner is... Rian!

Trying to lift this massive pumpkin.

We spent Monday wishing this guy a Happy Birthday!

The kiddos decided that they wanted to call Randy downstairs to open gifts, then hide, so that they could surprise him. Can you find their hiding spots?!?

We decided that night to decorate out haunted houses for our annual Harrington Halloween Haunted House Competition.

If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram or got a text from me, you know that Rory won this year's competition. Rian and myself tied for 2nd and Randy came in last.

Tuesday was our 8th anniversary. And we celebrated with steak and lobster and watching the Dodgers win the first game of the World Series! Not a bad way to celebrate!!!

And Rory lost another tooth. This tooth has been loose for a long time and he refused to let us pull it out. Instead he wanted the dentist to pull it out.

Tonight is the start of many Halloween events that we will be enjoying over the next few days. So I'll see you next week to share them all with you. Until then, I hope you have a fun and safe Halloween!!!

xoxo
