Well I can feel the brakes being slammed on our summer vacation. I wish I could say that we have something exciting planned today to mark the last day. But in all reality, we don't and I'm ok with that. This evening we are heading back to school for Rory's teacher Meet & Greet, where he obviously will get to meet his teacher, get familiar with his classroom, drop off school supplies, and reunite with some friends. So for us summer break is over!
We spent our summer swimming, being outdoors, spending time with friends and family, and just relaxing. To be completely honest, this summer went by so fast!
Rian started swim lessons this year.
She quickly realized what happens when you don't follow instructions. Not that that stopped her.
She loved swim lessons and she absolutely adores Ms. Janeen. One of her favorite things to do was to help hold the hula hoop in the water as the other kids swam through it. She was never asked to help, she took on that responsibility all on her own. She also loved to jump into the water at the end of each lesson and swim to the steps. She has grown so much as a swimmer this year and I can't wait to see how much stronger she becomes with next year's lessons.

Friends of ours from Australia made a trip out to visit a few weeks ago, and the three of them were finally reunited! I wish I had taken a video of this because they were discussing in great detail the next day's trip to Wet n Wild!!! They were so excited!

We decided to get passes to the park and have made several quick trips. It helps that it's only a few minutes from our house! I rarely get photos of Rory here because he likes to ride the super fast, scary rides and that is not my style. So I relax around the kiddie area, while Rory runs off with Randy or his friends and the more adventurous adult! Haha!!!

The kiddos and I made a trip out to Cali where we tried to take full advantage of my parents's pool!
Someone in this group is getting married and the other four get to stand next to her! Dress shopping was so much fun!!! I love them!
Rian decided at the engagement party that she had enough fun with her cousins and it was time to make herself comfy in her cousin's bed.
The kiddos love to go to California and saying goodbye is always so hard.
We also headed to the driving range a couple of times so that Rory could try out his new clubs.
Rian has become Rory "ball girl". When Rory is ready for the next ball, Rian runs up and places one on the tee. So she just sits and watches and waits until he's done.

And there was a lot of relaxing and napping and late morning sleeping going on.
Sometimes its just so hard to keep your eyes open! Haha! Poor Mags!

And now it's a wrap on our summer break!
I hope you all have a great weekend. I'm going to be spending it trying to gradually get us all back on our regular sleeping schedule. Wish me luck, I'm going to need it with a house full of night owls!
