After several delays, Rory finally got to participate in his school's Fun Run. This is one of Rory's favorite events during the school year. The week leading up to the run, the event coordinators interact with the students and have activities that teach leadership, confidence and health lessons. Rory decided that he wanted to wear every Fun Run item that he had earned during those lessons (including tattoos haha). And a huge thank you to everyone who helped support him and his school with pledges!!!
(By the way I'm not entirely sure why he's making this face. He really was excited for the run!)
Rian found a friend on the field before the run.
And they're off!
He had so much fun running with his friends.
Waving to us as he goes by.
Taking a water break with Daddy.
Thank you Target for creating the perfect shopping cart for my kid. Rory was so bummed that he missed all the Mario Kart decor.
I took Rory to Target a few days later to see all the Mario Kart decor only to find out that they took it all down. :0( The only thing he could find was the game display.
Rory was pretty excited when both of us tied for first place. Did you guys know that Mario Kart is his favorite game...Haha!!!
One of Rian's favorite games right now...Surprise Slides.
We headed to our friends' Cinco de Mayo party this past weekend. We love this annual block party that they have. We made churro cupcakes and chili relleno dip for the party.
It was super windy, like pop-up-tent-flying-through-the-air windy!!!
And this year Rory asked the face painter to make him into Wario from Mario Kart. I know, I know, shocking, right?!? Haha!
We had so much fun! I love these girls!!! (Although we are missing a few more) It's always a great time when they're around!
Well I better go, the kiddos are waiting for me to put together some special Mother's Day gifts. :0) I'll be back soon because someone had a birthday this week and it was a birthday I will never forget!
xoxo
