The kids are getting so big. And I have pictues to prove it! I may have been slacking in the blogging department, but not in the picture-taking department! This might possibly be thee longest post I've ever done. It's been awhile and I've got lots to share. So if you are on, say a flight to China, I've given you plenty of reading and viewing material... You're welcome!
So I left off with Rian's six month update in December, so I guess we'll start with the month of January:
Rian
Can't decide if she should keep the Mary Janes or wear the red boots. What's a girl to do?!?
Showing off her first two teeth!
Gotta have a pic of her eating.
Rory
Yes, that's a real lion behind Rory!
Rory thinks mango smoothies are "delicious"!
Having a little fun at the park
This is how he helps me pick up toys. Whatever works, right?!?

Rory
Some time in early February, Rory accidentally overflowed the toilet in the kids's bathroom, resulting in flooding the bathroom and the hallway upstairs. I will spare you all the dirty details. But as I'm trying to soak up the the soggy carpet while holding a cranky, teething Rian at two in the morning, I find Rory downstairs eyes locked on an infomercial for a vacuum cleaner. He turns to me and says, "Mama, I need this vacuum".
I have no clue why the lights are turned off. Maybe he was enjoying the infomercial like one would enjoy a movie. I should have offered him a bucket of popcorn.
What a cutie!
He drew is own bath... And no he does not lead a hard life.
I have to be one of the luckiest girls around to have three, yes three, friends who are photographers. And for valentines day two of them teamed up for a mini photo session.

Maybe he really likes his feet?!?
One of thee cutest Easter bunnies ever. Thanks Aunt Courtney
And there's the other. These two couldn't be any cuter! OK, they get cuter every single day. But the cuteness oozing from these two kiddos is unbelievable!
We spent Easter in Cali
Looking at all her pretty Easter eggs
Why so serious?!?
My parents (ok, really my mom) had a ladybug release for the kids
There were way more ladybugs inside his cup
And then the boys chased my dad around with silly string
Silly little boys!
May
I guess he's not too happy they're in coordinating jammies! I love it!
Rian
I took the kiddos to Disney on ice with some friends from our playgroup, and Rian was so fixated on the skaters. She loved it!
She has nothing to wear!
Sorry for the poor lighting
Standing up all by herself... Actually, she's bustin' a move at her musical table. You go girl with you're bad self!
Rory
June
Oh where do I begin with June?!? Because we had a lot of photos taken during the month of June, I'm going post only a few from each session now and do separate posts on the individual events soon.
Rian (Happy 1st Birthday!!!)
A sneak peek of her birthday party!
At her one year wellness check up. Heading for the door...maybe she knew what was in store for her...SHOTS
Showing off her new stroller for her baby! Thanks Richard (aka Mino)!
A spoon in one hand and a handful of food in the other
(This beautiful picture of Rian was taken at a friend's son's birthday party. I think this one was taken by Aly Lynn Photography. If someone knows for sure, please let me know. I want to give credit where credit is do as I believe the photo is from the party package photos.)
A few photos from the kids' summer photo session with my friend Ashley
As some of you know, Rory's cute little dimple (shown in the black and white above) is actually a scar from when he crashed into the coffee table when he was a year and a half. He literally dented his cheek and it took months for the bruising and dent to heal.
So you can imagine the horror when he hit his eye on the corner of the same table. The small bruise slowly turned into a black eye. You will see in the next series of photos that Rory is in fact sporting a black eye.
Working on his very first painting. (Photo of the finished piece coming up in the July photos)
"Rian! Don't you dare wake up your brother!"
Apparently she didn't listen
Rory rockin' his black eye. That black spot from a few photos above turned into this.
July
4th of July
Our Playgroup had a kid parade and breakfast in the morning. Watching the kids in their red, white & blue clothes and their decorated bikes and wagons was the cutest thing. We made these handprint flag shirts earlier in the week as a Playgroup activity. I turned Rian's shirt into a cute dress!
I used this tutorial I found on Pinterest to make her dress
Rory led the kids in the parade. It was very sweet to see all the kids helping each other get their bikes, scooters and wagons lined up so they could start the parade.

Uh yeah, I made a matching dress for Rian's baby. Funny thing was, Rian pushed her baby around in the stroller before the parade and after the parade, but thought it was a better idea to play in the playground's wood chips during the parade.
Rian
Cheese! Teeth count: 10
(two top molars are hiding in the back)
Rory photo bombed Rian while taking a nap
She loves to take a selfie.
Rian has traded the headbands for shoes. I can't get her to keep a headband on, but we'll spend the morning putting on every single shoe she has...even the ones that don't fit.
Rory
Rory loves to complete puzzles. He completed this one while my mother-in-law was staying with us and he wanted to take a picture with it to show her.
The finished picture he was painting in the June photos. (Someone needed a haircut badly!)
His version of the Ghostbusters' Ecto 1 car
We spent the majority of the month prepping our rental property for new tenants. And if you know Rory, you know he was more than happy to help out with the vacuuming!
On the other hand, Rian was not so thrilled to be there day after day. Did you know if you put a bunch of painter's tape on the walls in random spots, it keeps 13 month-olds pretty busy? At least it did for this one!
I'll be back soon with posts on Rian's first birthday photos, her birthday party, their summer photo session and more randomness to catch you guys all up.
xoxo
