With Rory starting school on Monday, we wanted to squeeze one last trip in before the hustle and bustle of daily routines begins. So once again we packed up and headed west!
Anything to keep us entertained...
music...
video games...
binoculars...
even hide & seek! Seriously, Randy started counting and she hid behind the binoculars! Whatever works on hour three of a road trip,
As we drove down the Cajon Pass we could see the aftermath of the Blue Cut fire. It was really sad to see the mountain scorched and there were workers along the highway repairing utility lines. You could see the remains of the red lines from the planes' efforts to fight the fire, the left side was green and left untouched while right of the red line was stripped and black.
Once we made it into town the kids jumped into Grammy's pool!
Taking a ride in the bug!
We originally planned this trip so that we could go to a Dodger game, but the next morning our plans were scrapped so we surprised the kiddos with a trip to Knott's Berry Farm!
Rian's favorite ride! First things first... the boys headed to the Sidewinder and I took Rian for a ride or two, or three on the Camp Bus.
Tickling feet is a big brother right
Doing his best to convince Randy why it's a good idea to ride Sidewinder again for like the 5th time...
Waiting on the verdict...
Of course he won!!!
She is finally tall enough to ride the ferris wheel!
I love the park's fruit stands. They are the cutest.
All was ok until these campers decided to take walk down to the audience. That's when Rian climbed up on my lap.
Well the giant Snoopy did not come home with us, but these guys did. Daddy is the best when it comes to carnival games!!!
Stuart at dinner
After a day at the park, a morning by the pool is exactly what we needed.
Papa's Surfing 101 classes in the pool
Getting some much needed color
She was asleep less than two minutes in the car.
Playing hide & seek. The car version isn't very challenging, but it sure is entertaining to watch them try and hide.
And with that our trip was over.
Thanks for stopping by. I'll be back with how we are preparing for the upcoming school year! :0)
xoxo
