Happy Thanksgiving Eve!
I can't believe I'm that behind on my blog. With our turkey defrosting in the frig, side dishes prepped, appetizers made, and the house ready for guests, I can finally sit down and catch up on the blog. I hate when I get this behind, but to my defense, I've been a little occupied with Thanksgiving prep and birthday party planning.
But before I get carried away with all that, I must first share our Halloween adventures. We made two more trips to the pumpkin patch with friends.
This goat loved me. And I would have had no problem taking him home if they let me. He must've known about my love of goats.
Rory and his friend Tatiana. Last year, he helped her slide down because she got scared once she was at the top of the slide. This year they slid down together holding hands and laughing all the way down!
At one of our last soccer Saturdays, we had practice with the most beautiful double full rainbow overhead. A perfect representation of that week: even with grey skies looming, rainbows can still be seen. And I don't think the rainbows would have been quite as bright without the dark sky as a background.
Rory showing off his soccer trophy. Even though every player gets one, all the kids on our team earned theirs. They worked so hard every week, had the best attitude and were great teammates. I'm so proud of them.
On a side note: Rory showed up to our last practice with no socks and only one cleat. We almost made it through the whole season without being a hot mess.
Rian has made a new friend at Target. Just another reason to spend hours there!
Yup roadtrippin' with snackeez. Don't knock em' to you've tried them. They really are great to have when you're stuck in the car for a few hours with two small kids.
We participated in "You've Been Boo'd" again this year!
And then there was Halloween. I decided to decorate our front porch with a Hocus Pocus theme. It's one of my favorite Halloween movies.
The start of Rian's costume. I made her Wonder Woman costume and I love the way it turned out. I dyed her onesie, painted the wristbands and double W logo. I ordered her tutu and added felt stars. I cut her crown from gold glitter stock paper and added a red glitter star. I think the little red converse took her costume to the next level for me.
Getting in her pre-trick-or-treating nap
And my wonderful friend Alyson took the kids' photos to mark this year's Wonder Woman and The Flash! I love these and I'm so incredibly grateful for her and her talent!!!
It didn't take long for Rian to get the hang of things. She was so cute trying to keep up with Rory as he ran like The Flash through the streets. She stumbled a few times, dumping her entire bucketful of candy on the street, but she just jumped right up and collected her goodies and continued on.
I know this is super blurry, but I just love that they are holding hands!
Trying to get a photo of them, but Rian couldn't be bothered with photos.
So this is what happens when Rian decided to dump shampoo onto her hair and I have to try and get it out using baby wipes.
And we now have a Minion!!!
Lately we've had a ton of caterpillars in our yard. One even managed to make his way into the house.
Cinnamon rolls with orange icing taste so good! She has the best seat in the house.
Rory drew a picture of Rian and himself!!! Melt my heart.
The kiddos "helping" Randy with a little backyard project.
Sorry! on repeat in our house
xoxo
