I can't wait until June

I took a little hiatus from blogging when school started, but a recent discovery has got me going again. So for those of you haven't heard.... WE ARE EXPECTING A BABY THIS JUNE!!!! We are beyond excited and thrilled to be adding to our family.

So to keep track of my pregnancy progress and the baby's development I've decided to do a pregnancy post every week.(let's see how long that lasts. Haha! I'll do my best to keep it up once a week.) This will be familiar to those of you on pinterest, Jessica Garvin's started this cute chalkboard display on her blog, Little Baby Garvin. (Thanks Jessica for the inspiration!) It's adorable, and she's way better than me, but hopefully I'll get better at the chalkboard art as I go.

Sorry for the flash on the board. And Randy pointed out that I probably shouldn't wear black against a black chalkboard. Point taken!

How far along? 12 Weeks & 6 Days
Total weight gain/loss: 6 lbs
Maternity clothes? a pair of maternity leggings and the belly band with my other jeans, but no tops yet. Still making my regular clothes work
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Never enough! Sleep is good, but I'm always ready for a nap
Best moment this week: My doctor's appointment this past Monday. I know I was technically still in my 11th week, but I got to hear the baby's heartbeat. Music to my ears!
Have you told family and friends: Yes!
Miss Anything? Everything! Having morning sickness sucks!!!
Movement: No, it's still a little early for that
Food cravings: Hot chocolate, chocolate in general, and spring rolls
Anything making you queasy or sick: Everything! Like I said... morning sickness sucks!
Have you started to show yet: Yes, a small bump
Gender prediction: Girl (Rory also thinks it's a girl)
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? in
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Sick mostly. BUT... things are looking much better now that my doctor prescribed anti-nausea medication. Works great!!!
Looking forward to: Getting past the morning sickness and this nasty cold that Rory has shared with me. I really can't wait for the nesting phase where I have a lot more energy.... And of course Christmas and finish decorating the house. Who am I kidding?!? Randy got the decorations out the day after Thanksgiving and they are still sitting right where he left them. I haven't started decorating, except for plugging in a Minnie Mouse angel for Rory. Does that count?!?

I hope you all enjoyed my first pregnancy post. I look forward to sharing this pregnancy with you guys and I'm really glad you're coming along for the ride! I always enjoy hearing what people think the baby's gender is or any name suggestions, so feel free to let me know what you think!

    1. Thanks Linda! Yes, a baby is the best gift from God!!! I picked up some Lucky Charms today. Hey I'll take any excuse to eat those :0) . But the medicine the doctor prescribed seems to be working.
