I decided this year that I wanted to change things up for Halloween. The kids are getting older and can handle the "scary" side of this time of year. So out with the cute, colorful witches and in with the darker side of skeletons, bats and spiders. And while the kids are onboard with the revamping of our decorations, Rian did take a look around and said "Mom, what's with all the black? We need some color in here!" Hahaha, No. Silly girl, let me introduce you to my kind of Halloween. ;0)
The skeletons are the newest edition and by far are my favorite. Eventhough they can be scary to some people, I think they add an element of playfulness and fun to the house. Each one of them has a name and a "personality"... Hahaha. Sitting in the entryway is Georgie, going for a wild ride is Harry and Zarry, the life of the party and swiging from the chandelier is Johnny, and Punky is overlooking everything.
Funny Story: Orginally, there was a skeleton that was climbing up the railing to the hallway upstairs. Rory comes to me and says, "Mom, can you take him down? It's not that he's really scary, but when I come around the corner I forget he's there and I jump every time!" Sorry kid :0/
