Halloween Has Taken Over Our House

I decided this year that I wanted to change things up for Halloween. The kids are getting older and can handle the "scary" side of this time of year. So out with the cute, colorful witches and in with the darker side of skeletons, bats and spiders. And while the kids are onboard with the revamping of our decorations, Rian did take a look around and said "Mom, what's with all the black? We need some color in here!" Hahaha, No. Silly girl, let me introduce you to my kind of Halloween. ;0)

The skeletons are the newest edition and by far are my favorite. Eventhough they can be scary to some people, I think they add an element of playfulness and fun to the house. Each one of them has a name and a "personality"... Hahaha. Sitting in the entryway is Georgie, going for a wild ride is Harry and Zarry, the life of the party and swiging from the chandelier is Johnny, and Punky is overlooking everything.

Funny Story: Orginally, there was a skeleton that was climbing up the railing to the hallway upstairs. Rory comes to me and says, "Mom, can you take him down? It's not that he's really scary, but when I come around the corner I forget he's there and I jump every time!" Sorry kid :0/

Stay Tuned

Well if you've gotten this far, I'm pretty sure you've already noticed some changes. For one, it's been over two years since the last post... don't worry, I'll catch you up on everything a little later. And two... the blog is getting a little bit of a facelift to go along with it's new name: Hey Amie E. If you've followed the blog in the past, you know I've done a revamping once before. Along with the new name, comes a new link, heyamiee.blogspot.com, and hopefully really soon a new design and an additional bonus feature. So for the few of you that already knew this was coming, I hope you guys will hang tight for a little bit longer. And for those of you who have asked about the status of the blog over the past couple of years, I wanted to thank you for reaching out. It's because of you that I've decided to re-launch it. I truly love writing and sharing all that goes on around here, but most of all I love my family and friends who are not near and I love that this has been a way to connect to with you guys in the past. So ready or not, you are about to be overloaded with posts and links from Hey Amie E!

By the way, does anyone else hear Will Ferrell as George W Bush singing The Fugees' Ready or Not when you say/read/hear the phrase "ready or not"? No, just me?!?

Ready or not, here I come, you can't hide

If you need a good laugh, look it up Will Ferrell as George Bush ""Ready or not here I come" under videos and a link from SNL Facebook (12/15/2020) should come up. I promise you, you will never hear/say/read that phrase the same again. HAHAHA

Anyway- I hope you'll stop by again really soon... I sure have missed you all!
