Spring Break | Easter 2018

Hello!

Oh wow! We have been so busy lately that our spring break seems like months ago. We were all in need of a break and that's exactly what we got: A break filled with fun, friends and family!

It started with me hosting a Sunday brunch for my squad. It was so nice to spend a few hours with friends and unwind (kid-free). (My chalkboard was being prepped for another event. More on that coming up on the next post.)

And while I was entertaining friends, Randy took the kids to the driving range. This was Rian's first time using her clubs!!!

Rory's doing so well. His goal is to hit the target, and he does! (You can see the target in the next pic)

And since the kids loved it so much, we took them back a couple of days later. Rian was so excited to get a pink golf hat. That was actually my hat, and it turns out that Rian's head is almost the size of mine. I have a small head and she has a huge head. ***insert eye roll here   :0) I have to admit that she rocks it better than I ever did!!!

She did so well that Randy bought her her very own pink driver. She loves it!!!

And to top it off literally, a dog head cover!

I had to make a stop at the Silverton and the kids had to stop by the aquarium.

Rian helped me make dinner. This is right before she said that the cheese smelled bad.

Ok, Pinky and Maggie took spring break to a new level.
Oh you don't mind if I lay here, right?!?

That's not a pillow and Rian is going to want it back, Pinky!

Yeah, whatever, mom!

So I went to make the bed and Maggie absolutely refused to get up. So I made the bed anyway. You see that long lump in the middle of the bed???...

...Yup, that's Maggie! These girlies!!! Life must be really hard!

We had our annual Easter Egg Hunt with our playgroup. I can't believe it was the 5th year we've done this. Rory's face is the best!!!

I caught a moment where the kids were playing nicely together. It was so sweet.

Another sweet moment...right before they started fighting. Rian can't handle losing.

We decided to stay in town during the week and drive out to Cali for the Easter holiday. And if anyone has ever driven from Vegas to So Cal on a Sunday, you know the I-15 is 200 miles of parking lot. So we decided to leave on Saturday, but that meant that we had to get up early and take Randy to work so that we could leave straight from his work that evening. And let's just say the kids were not too happy to get up early on a Saturday.

Rory didn't even make it to Randy's work...early morning nap!

How I got all of this in the car, I have no idea! We do not travel light.

Ready to go get Randy and head to Cali!

The Easter Bunny left Reese's eggs for Randy, myself...

...and my parents! Thanks Easter Bunny!!!

And the kiddos had a surprise waiting for them!

Rian's basket

An Easter bunny, wiffle balls (to practice golf in the backyard), bubbles, a golf dress, a surprise toy and candy.

Rory's basket

An Easter bunny, wiffle balls, bubbles, a golf shirt, a surprise toy and candy.

Yup, that's about right.

They found their baskets!

She could not wait to drop her fizz ball into water to find out what mermaid she got.

The kids found a grasshopper that was suck in the pool.

So daddy to the rescue.

He's safe and sound!

Opening baskets from Nama and Papa!!!

The kiddos love my SIL's dog Marty and Grammie's dog Marlo. I can't believe the 3 of them sat still long enough to take a picture. Haha!

And they were ready to go have fun with their cousins!!!

She's out!!!

Nana selfies!!!

Easter Egg'ing

Trying to get the egg on Joey's head!!! HAHA!

How does she make Easter egg hunting look so glamorous?

I promise he was happy with his eggs, he was irritated with me because he wanted to go open all the eggs and I wanted to take a picture first.

Oh Rian, you better look out...

...because Papa's about to steal your egg!

This is what it's like trying to take a family picture with his crazy crew... Zoe is hiding behind us. If you look carefully, you can see her legs behind my mom. And Crazy Uncle Joe throwing a ping pong ball at me. Good job Rory looking out for your mama!...

The ball hit me anyway!

It was pretty funny!

We finally got a good one!!!

These two are trouble!

When your kids play with your uncle like you did when you were their age.

They all love Uncle Joe

So we left the kids to continue the family fun, and we went on a date. LA here we come!

My favorite kind of date...

...A Dodger game!!!

We went to Game 4 of Opening Weekend against the San Francisco Giants. The Dodgers won 9-0!!!

And the next day we headed home. Rian was out within minutes. (Don't worry we fixed her straps, she didn't ride all the way home like that.)

And this kid was all set with his Nintendo Switch!

Thanks for hanging in until the end. This was probably my longest post to date. Haha! We had a great break!!!

Next up... A very special post celebrating a very special person!!!
