Happy 241st Birthday America

Happy Friday Everyone!

I hope you all had a fun and relaxing holiday. I decided to share our 4th of July adventures with you today since we are having an unexpected lounging kind of day with Rory home from school. Yes, Rory is still in school for at least the next couple of weeks. Anyway, when the A/C goes out at school with a projected 112 degree temps, you get to stay home. So here we go...

Our holiday weekend officially started on Sunday and we kicked it off the yummiest way we know how...donuts!!! Can you guess who got the festive sprinkle ones?!?

While Randy was golfing, I decided to take these two kiddos to the movies to see Cars 3.

Wish me luck!

These movie had theeee longest previews ever! I don't remember previews being 30 mins long.

Excuse the hand shoveling of popcorn. HAHA!!!

So all was well until Rian decided that she didn't want to stay and watch the movie. I mean any of the movie. Mommy! LETS GO HOME!!! This lasted the entire movie, along with trying to roll down the stairs, squishing her face between the chairs to bother the people behind us, and trying to eat her discarded popcorn off the floor. Yup fun times were had!

The movie was very cute and had Rory talking about for hours after. He absolutely loved it. Rian said she liked it, but I'm not sure she even knew we were watching a movie about cars. HAHA!

We made a quick stop at Old Navy and Rian cannot resist the dog.

We spent every night like this. The dogs are miserable with the constant fireworks night after night. They try to get as close to us as possible, and just shake uncontrollably. My poor Mags. :0(

On the 4th we had plans to go hang out with friends and then head to the park to watch some fireworks. Rory made some chocolate chip cookies that we took to the park.

Hanging by the pool with these two monkeys.

Heading out to the park.

Watching fireworks and eating hot dogs!!! Rian's face :0)

Rian wanted to take silly selfies...

She was out before we left the parking lot.

While Rian slept, Rory got to do a couple of sparklers.

I'm pretty sure Pinky wished this is how she spent the evening...

...Instead she spent it in my closet with my purses. She even pulled some out of the cubby so that she could climb in. My poor sweet Pinky :0(

I read somewhere that if you put something snug on the dogs, it helps with them feeling safe. I don't really think the sweaters were much help.

By the way, this is the wagon we took with us to the park, and it amazing. We got this for Randy for Father's Day and it is perfect for hauling all our stuff...and...

...it folds up like this! Awesome!!! I got ours here. GAME-CHANGING!!!

Now off to the market with my two little monkeys in this unbearable heat. Wish me luck! And I wish you all a very enjoyable weekend. Thanks for stopping by HOH!

Happy Birthday Baby Angel
