Life Lately

Hello!!!

Originally this was suppose to be a Valentine's Day post, but like usual, life kinda got in the way (as well as some technical difficulties). So now it has morphed into a mini life lately round up. I'm kinda glad that it happened though because earlier this week Rory brought home our Mother/Son dance photo!!!

Remember this pic from December?!? Yup, we decided to take the kids to the first showing of the Lego Batman movie. And lucky for us, a nearby theater shows movies the day before it opens.

McDonald's was promoting the movie and Rory had decided it was a good time to finally try a cheeseburger. Verdict: He's going to stick with the chicken mcnuggets!!! Haha!

The movie was great!!! It was super funny and we all loved it. Thumps up from all of us!

The kids wanted ice cream after the movie, but fell asleep before we could get it home.

My silly girl!

Rian likes to wear her Dodger hat like mommy!

Her face! :0)

On Valentine's Day Randy took me and Rian to lunch for some yummy Mexican food. If you are in the area or have a Los Cucos near you, it is so good!!! I could eat there every single day!

After lunch we stopped into one of our favorite stores, Tilly's and Rian tried to convince us to buy her a skateboard. Oh boy, this girl!!! Note to all of Rian's future boyfriends: Ditch the flowers and the box of chocolates, this girl wants Mexican food and skateboards!!!

This is how we do Valentine's Day in our house. Nothing too fancy or over the top, just a little something to share the love. (And by the way, yes I accidentally burnt a few of the cookies, but I didn't mind, because I actually love burnt cookies!!!)

I don't know anyone who takes one bite of a chocolate and is done. That's some serious will power Rian.

The kids opened their valentine's day packages from Nama & Papa and Grammie. This was the best I got from both of them. Their excitement took over and that was it for pictures.

We set up the Nintendo Wii game system over the weekend, and Rory loves it! Every time Rory wins he makes me take a picture.

Mario Kart is his favorite game!

And there is this sweet sleeping beauty. She waits all day to go get Rory from school and then can't hang at pick up.

Thanks for stopping by HOH! I hope you all have a great day.

A Little Love

Well hello there February!!!

I didn't intend on taking a month off from posting, but updating the HOH's design and layout took longer than I expected. Shocking I know, why do things take longer with kids running around?!? Seriously don't answer that, it was rhetorical :0)!!!

Anyway, I'm kicking off February with sharing a little love. A few weeks ago I got to take Rory to his first dance at school, a mother/son dance. He was super excited to show off his dance moves with his friends, and well, I was really excited to have some quality time with my boy. I have to admit that it was super fun watching Rory bust out his dance moves out on the dance floor. It was a night that I know I will remember always.

I came across this saying on Pinterest recently and I thought it was completely fitting.

The dance was sports-theme so we represented our Boys in Blue, the Dodgers!!!

Entrance into the dance required "wristbands" or in this case, sweatbands!

Buddies

"Dancing" with his buds

During our mother/son dance... the only time he wanted to dance with me. I guess his friends are way cooler than me!!!

I know its really hard to tell from the photo, but Rory participated in the Mannequin Challenge.

Well at least my friends will dance with me, even if Rory won't!!! :0)

Let's talk about this daddy/daughter love. My heart melts every time I see this photo.  xoxo
(And if you're wondering if Randy will get to take Rian to a dance, there's a father/daughter dance too.) ;0)

And then there's these two! Don't get me wrong, they fight a lot! But some times they are so sweet to each other. Yup my heart melts just a little more.

And I don't know about you, but I couldn't think of a better way to end. So I hope you all are having a great week and thanks for stopping by!!!
