You know how you can feel fall has arrived with the crispness in the air? Well I can feel that a new season in our life has arrived, and just like a new baby changes everything, so does a full-time student. There are still moments that remind us of the past season, like a toddler who refuses to potty-train or sleep a full night in her room, but I know it's only a matter of time until that is all a distant memory. Now the house is much quieter than it use it be, school pick up has become a play in timing and strategy, and somehow one o'clock turns into four o'clock then somehow disappears into late night.
If you follow me on Snapchat (amieaharrington) you know that Rian and I fill our time waiting for Rory to get out of school by playing with the filters.
How cute is the deer filter on Rian? This is my favorite one on her.
No Mommy! Let me show you how it's done. She's fierce looking.
My little goofball
Friday has become Ghostbuster day with Rory and three of his friends.
Mommy, can we take a picture with our Ghostbuster shirts? He has requested that I wear my shirt as well.
And the Ghostbuster sisters (who are all the same age).
Rian has dug into our halloween stash and totes around trick-or-treat buckets filled with her little animals.
Accessorizing at Party City.
And well Rory even gets in on the Snapchat filters every once in a while.
The evenings have been so nice, that we've been hanging outside enjoying the fall air. Bubbles are always a hit.
Catching pop flies at the park.
Heaven
Rory is currently on his first track break, I know he just started school, right?!? So we decided to do an overnight in Cali. I asked the kids to help me pack, and while Rory packed all the appropriate clothes and essential items, Rian took a different approach. She immediately changed into one of her swimsuits, threw on a zip up hoodie and then added a flower headband. And in her backpack she shoved as many stuffed animals in it that she could. I love how she is checking over her outfit in a full length mirror. You go get it girl!
Randy and I had a date at a Dodger game. They played the San Fransisco Giants.
Even Snapchat it thankful for Vin!!!
If you follow the Dodgers, Giants or baseball... this was the result of the Madison Bumgarner "Don't look at me" exchange with Yasiel Puig.
The Dodgers won 2-1 in the ninth inning! We love LA!!!
Thanks Nama and Papa for watching the kiddos for us!
The next day we visited with Grammie and the kiddos indulged in some ice cream!
We checked to see how Rory "measured up" against Randy. As of right now, Rory is way taller than Randy was at this age.
Out like a light makes for a quiet ride home.
Movie night
I found this picture in the middle of a string of blurry versions of it on my phone. Thank you Rian for playing photog!
We make treasure maps, some lead to treasures, some lead to a colorful masterpieces.
And while Rory is on track break, he is responsible for completely homework on the computer. Wow!
We're trading flip flops for shoes...and sometimes you twin with your six year old son and I'm ok with that.
And new fall nail colors somehow find their way into your shopping cart.
And morning chocolate chip pancakes (Ghostbusters and cat) start to hint that halloween is just a month away and that the festivities are coming with pumpkin patches and ghost and skeleton decorations dancing around.
So with that I'll leave you until next time. Thanks for visiting HOH!
xoxo
