"He worked really hard Grandpa."
"So do washing machines."

2. Football. Yes football. The sport has been slowly growing on me for the past few years. I mean what else was I going to do when all that was on TV on Sundays was football. So if you can't beat them, join them, right?!? So a few years ago I decided to follow the Denver Broncos, based on my goofy perimeters- a team in a nearby state, one that wasn't too overrated or popular, and one that had a quarterback I knew (since I only knew what the quarterback did... at the time). Little did I know that the team I picked was pretty good. Haha! Sometimes it's just dumb luck!
3. Chalkboards. Ok this one shouldn't be too much of a surprise since I spent the better part of this year being photographed along side one. But I found a new way to add to my growing love for chalkboards, my little DIY project for our front porch. I painted an old outdoor side table with chalkboard paint and now I have an outdoor chalkboard!
You can get more details of my DIY table here.

4. Homemade pizza. Alright, semi-homemade pizza. My kitchen became the Harrington's Pizzeria this past Saturday when I created an assortment of pizzas to everyone's liking.
Garlic cheese "knots"

Large pepperoni for Randy

Small tomato and olive for me

Mini cheese for Rory

(a pie tin makes the perfect mini-size pizza for the kiddos)
4. Coffee creamers. I love coffee and I'm loving the holiday flavored creamers that have recently hit the shelves at the market. Along with my usual carmel vanilla, pumpkin spice and salted carmel mocha have been added to the mix. Yum so good.

5. I've saved the best for last...MY KIDDOS!!!
(a) Rory, my little smarty pants. He's been working so hard with his school work and he is learning so much. He recently learned to write his name and his work is currently featured on the bulletin board in the hall at school. He has also discovered a puzzle game of the 50 states that I have on my iPad and is now learning the location and different shapes of the states. I'm so proud of him.

(b) Rian. She has the best smile and the most heart-warming laugh ever. I could listen to her laugh all day long. I have the best videos of my Nana talking to her and she is cracking up. I watch them all the time and I know how priceless those moments are.

I hope everyone had a great weekend and I'll be back soon with some updates.

Dear Amie!
ReplyDeleteGood to hear you are getting your season at last.Kids look adorable and I love your chalkboard coffeetable. I feel your pain about learning a sport.I sat through 13 innings of Dodgers the other night just to be near Lou! ( I am a Pirate fan) Our Brian is now baking his own biscuits trying to make them like Knott's Berry farm at his own place. We get the extras while he finds the perfect recipe. Jon and Lou are painting Aunt Dolore's bedroom a dreamy pale yellow called Bracken Cream. I am thinking about my house next!
Well ,Happy Fall and good luck with your Christmas prep-
Love
Linda
Hey Linda my dear! Oh warm yummy biscuits in the fall sound like heaven. I sat through the same 13 inning game by myself. After 11 1/2 years with Randy I became a dodger fan years ago. I guess I should send you my condolences for the dodger game and for your pirates.

ReplyDeleteHaha. I know so sad. I was hoping for a World Series win this year from them. Oh well there's always April. I can't wait to see what you're up to in your garden. <3
